waking and sleeping

waking and sleeping: general #522

The relationship between sleep and our time being awake is another one of those complex relationships. Sleep and our time being awake interact on so many levels, and what is sleeping inside of us is so much a part of our waking lives.

I can’t speak for other people, but as I consider a more accessible way to present my work and the motivation behind it, why I put so much focus on getting rid of hypertension in the body, I would say that the time and the environment of my socialization as a young person made me feel like I had to wear a “corset” and I additionally grew up in a “cage” on many levels. The interlocked frames of mind that created these “corsets” and “cages” have so complexly been built into my being that to solve these puzzles and entanglements, it needs real dedication and quite an investment in time. One of the important experiences I made along the way and one that keeps me attracted to Taoist philosophy was that every bit of freedom you gain cannot only been dealt with in a conscious way, if your goal is integration.
