In a traditional Chinese bodymind practice which is, for instance, following Taoist philosophy as exemplified in the Tao Te Ching 《道德經》 / Lao-tzu 《老子》 or Chuang-tzu 《 庄子 》, reaching out is always about connecting. It is never in any trickery way linked to extending, expanding with manipulative or imperialistic motives.
