arbitrariness: general 851

Some people might consider my combination of photography and text on the landing page of my website, and elsewhere, to be arbitrary. However, this combination is a clear reflection of my studies in Taoist philosophy, which focuses on the natural world, particularly on important patterns in the natural world. I observe and study these patterns in my movement practice. I also spend a lot of time reflecting on my experiences in my movement practice. Since reflections, thought processes do not happen in linear ways, I am trying to convey all of that through a stream-of-consciousness style. This is where many of the text passages linked to the images come from. They represent thought associations, seeing, and experiencing patterns.
