My focus in practicing and teaching 詠春拳 Wing Chun, the 少林易筋經 Shaolin tendon method, the 陰陽五行功 Yin Yang and the Five Phases method as well as a 導引功 Taoyin method is clearly on the internal aspects of all of these practices.
Such an internal approach to movement traditions based on Taoist philosophy and spirituality cannot only enrich a movement practice, but it can also more generally support deeper transformation processes. With the material I present here, particularly with the text photo pieces on this blog, I want to offer additional inspiration to reflect on Taoist thought — a Tao Te Ching (Lao-tzu / Daodejing / Laozi) commentary in image-texts. With this, I want to contribute to a wider conversation.
